Motivational Speaking - You Will Be Inspired by It

We live in busy times where we have no time for ourselves. Today, depression and tension go hand in hand with our daily lives. Many people are greatly surrounded by depression. We need some booster to help us move up in life. Motivation is providing enthusiasm. Motivational speakers are inspirational both to the one who is the speaker as well as to the listener. Motivation can uplift any depressed soul. In such circumstances we need someone to lift us up and get us motivated to return to a normal healthy life.

Listening to motivational speeches can steer our lives towards positive thinking and towards changing our lives positively. Many today take it up as a career and try to help other people to get motivated and move out of their depressed lives.

To take up motivational speaking, a person has to be really dedicated towards their career and need to aim at improving lives of people positively. Such speakers need to have the ability to improve people's lives. Motivational speakers set up workshops and seminars on particular topics or subject. Motivational speakers are in great demand in this tech world today as the world is continuously in need of emotional support.

The Role of Motivational Speakers in Business

People in business are driven by pressure and need constant motivation and support. Motivational speakers provide great impetus to business people and many others to keep cool under pressure and remain driven in their place of work. Therefore, motivational speakers contribute greatly in business. Such business people can do their work well if they are balanced and out of depression and tension. They can thus become more productive and cooperative with their work.

Motivational speakers can assist every class of person in the society. Being emotionally motivated allows people to be more focused on their work. People need motivation not because they are unable to perform effectively but because people are not adept at carrying the load of pressure and demand of their jobs. Constant work pressure and load can deplete a person's resources to remain focused and motivated. That is why motivation is so important to allow people to remain focused on the job in hand and to take charge in life. It is generally seen among many business houses, where they hire motivational speakers on a regular basis, to keep their staff and personnel focused and emotionally motivated.

Motivational speaking is the work of experts who know their job and know what needs to be done. Experts can convey the message easily on any topic. Since motivational speaking is a blurred and multifaceted subject, experts are really needed. Many companies today are deeply involved with the topic of motivational speaking in their place of work. Constant motivational speaking and motivation can help peers to cope with their work pressure.

According to the new age business management, managers and executives new with the company are given special training to provide an insight into human nature. Since such managers and executives are well versed with the human psyche they are able to give out the best in their place of work through motivational speaking

Motivational speakers have the ability to challenge your thinking and let you arrive at a different and positive platform of life. Where the need arises motivational speaking can be personalized. If a person is not able to cope with the problems of his life and solve his own lives queries he can turn to motivational speakers to help them personally. Such speaking has changed many people's lives.

A motivational speaker can prove to be a management tool to improve their place of work or work environment in a better way. Motivational speakers can really transform people's personal as well as professional life. It is imperative that we know how we react to people around us and vice versa and the effect of motivational speakers in our lives and attitude.

A good motivational speaker needs to have good presentation skills. They can convey their messages correctly and directly. Such people can provide incentives to people to remain in their work place for long. They need to have the ability to speak on any subject and therefore need to have the right amount of experience and skill. They need to be trained in such a way that they are able to talk on any topic.

Many managers are doing extremely well. But what makes them feel that they have achieved success? This is a query in the minds of most people and this is needed to be answered. Motivational speakers have the stories to give out of such successful managers. Motivational speakers can stop employees from leaving their jobs. This can help the company to retain its good and experienced work force. Motivational speakers provide and help people and give them the right direction to succeed.

Motivational speaking has made a tremendous impact on our lives in many ways. Therefore, we need to respect their contribution to society. It is regarded as a profession that has its features as being able to understand people, their way of thinking and changing their attitude in life. Therefore, motivational speakers have to be themselves very motivated people that have a high amount of energy aura to influence and steer people in the right direction.

Tips to Effectively Manage Stress

Life today is filled with various kinds of stresses and strains. All of us are trying to cope up with one or the other kind of stress. While most of us manage to keep our chin up and swim through our personal sea of troubles, there are those among us who simply succumb to it and fall prey to the petty issues of life.

The presence of stress and tension robs us of our natural vitality and enthusiasm for life, rendering us dull and grumpy, far reducing our levels of efficiency in all aspects of our life. If we want to start leading a truly happy life, we first need to free our mind of all that accumulated tension.
For the body to remain healthy, we first need to control our mind. A healthy mind alone gives rise to a healthy body. We will never be able to achieve our goal until and unless we learn to relax and let go of our own bondage of negativity.

What exactly is relaxation?

Relaxation is not about stopping all activity and shirking work. Quite on the contrary, it is about getting rid of all the negative energies within you, thereby optimizing your energies to get the most possible success and happiness out of your life. Relaxation is all about understanding and accepting the various challenges thrown at you, with a balanced outlook, without getting upset at the slightest provocation.

You can get your life back on track by employing various methods of relaxation, some of which are discussed in detail below:

Meditation

Meditation, which is about mental control and exercising the mind to remain still, is indeed one of the best ways to manage stress. While meditation does not help in changing life circumstances, what is does is to teach you enough mind control to tackle difficult and unexpected events in your life. This ancient relaxation technique, practically a way of life with the people of the Indian sub-continent and the whole of the Orient, is a method of focusing oneself on the 'Higher Self', thus remaining unruffled by mundane, day-to-day events of life.

Meditation is best performed in complete silence, controlling breathing patterns in a certain prescribed method.

Relaxation by way of visualization

You can effectively use projected mental images to ease your way out of mental and physical stress. Practicing visualization techniques for relaxation helps bestow tremendous peace on the mind. For instance, if you feel stressed out at work and are dying for a break, you could close your eyes and picture yourself watching a glorious waterfront sunset at some exotic destination. It will immediately relax your mind and put it to rest at least for the time being!

Progressive relaxation

With this technique, you can achieve total relaxation by consciously tensing and releasing your muscles one by one, giving your body a sense of complete ease and comfort. This technique is especially useful to tackle several types of common aches and pains.

Biofeedback

Biofeedback is a recent and much-debated technique to achieve relaxation, which requires you to observe and formally record your mind-body responses with the help of certain medical equipment. While there are many who swear by this method, there are an equal number of other experts who do not at all recommend this technique of mind control.

The above are only a handful of techniques you can employ for relaxation. Here is a word of caution. Do visit your healthcare professional before you choose any one method. There are some mental control techniques that require you to get a clean health chit from your doctor, especially if you are suffering from some medical disorder. Some techniques might actually end up changing your physiology in some way if taken to the extreme. So always be moderate in your approach and go slow and steady with your progress.

Beyond Positive Thinking by Dr Robert Anthony - A Book Review

Another exciting self-help book. This time it is by a Doctor and has studied human behavior for many years. Beyond Positive Thinking is packed full of powerful ideas. He also talks about the same stuff as James Arthur Ray in Harmonic Wealth. They both talk of quantum physics.

An important part of the book can be summed up in 3 words; Be Happy Now.

He starts off by saying that we are responsible for our own actions. Our word is Law in the Universe. Most of our beliefs and ideas come from the past and no longer serve us at all. We have to let them go and get some new beliefs. We are to have a vision of ourselves based on truth.

Everyone has a subconscious mind and it is this mind that can guide us to better circumstances and conditions.

Many of us are on a self-destructive mission. We say don't tell me anything that is in conflict with my beliefs, I already have them all ingrained in my mind and anything else will only mess them up.

Got a goal in mind? Keep it to yourself. Telling others will just weaken your motivation towards it. Telling others will only drive them to tell you it won't work, get out while you can and you're wasting your time.

He goes on about being around negative people and how they can rob you of you own creative power.

Too many of us operate on the premise of Seeing is believing. Those people are in for a big disappointment in their life. Believe it before you even see it, it is with this knowledge that the universe comes through.

Choose to make positive choices in your life.

Choose to feel good. Choose to laugh. Choose not to criticize others. Make positive choices for you.

Face your worries, it is only you that gives them power.

This entire book is full of really incredible ways to live life with the Universe, and not against it. It has true to life examples illustrating what life was like and what it could be. This book will have you squirming in your chair as I'm sure there are parts that you will disagree with. Once you put these skills in practice you're going to be saying, You know what? He was right!.
Thank you Dr. Robert Anthony.

5 Steps to Successful Transitions

Point A to Point B - life generally moves along as it should. The sticky parts are the transitions, the moments of instability when things change from what is to what is about to be. Life makes so much more sense when we finally realize that everything between birth and death is a transition! The sooner we make this universal truth real for students, the better they will handle the minefield of transitions they face every day.

Positive or negative, planned or unexpected, transitions force us to leave behind the familiar and adjust to new ways of living. The boss I just figured out gets transferred. I finally accept gas costing over $1.00 a gallon and, well, you know how that one ends! Change is everywhere, but it doesn't have to be exhausting. Here are five ways to make transitions exciting and creative rather than frightful and paralyzing.

1. Things are going to change. Day changes to night, your job, neighborhood, family and vacation plans change. Get over it.

2. Look at a bigger picture. What really is changing? What will this change cause to change? Often a transition is much broader than it first appears. Dorothy thought she was only had a tornado to deal with.

3. Gather your resources. Now is the time to take care of yourself and your business. A transition is not an event, but a process that always takes longer and costs more than you anticipated.

4. Use this Force, this is the only time you will have it. We are never totally without control. A transition means that something is moving so, rather than struggle, take advantage of the momentum to catapult you in the direction YOU want to go. For a great example of this strategy, listen to politicians. Whatever unwanted question they are asked, they structure the response to get across the information they want to give. The power is in the opportunity!

5. Anticipate. Few things in life are really a surprise. Look at people with lives and jobs similar to yours and see what might be coming for you. It's much easier to step into a transition with a controlled slide rather than to get dropped into one when it hits you from behind. New comers watch young executives with a few years under their belts. Parents watch others raising children slightly older than their own to see what to expect. Be ready.

Pat yourself on the back. If you're reading this article, you've already survived many transitions and come to recognize them as the difference between the leaders out in front and those who struggle with every step. Stepping into the transitions we can anticipate and bouncing back quickly from the surprises will position you ahead of the crowd every time!

You Can Change!

People spend to much time dwelling on the thing that they can not change. Past mistakes, past relationships, events that went poorly, are the things we tend to focus on. We can not change the things that have happened and we have to realize that by making those mistakes we have learned to be different in the future. If we take all that energy we use on our past and put them into our future we could really become a healthier, self improved person.

When you lean towards a more positive direction you will feel better about yourself. Work on what you are inside and not just how you look on the outside. The more positive you become the more people will notice you. Remember that you have to feel good about yourself first.

If you run into someone who is having a bad day or going through something bad in their lives, acknowledge them, listen, show you care. The best thing would be to do something nice, find any way to bring their spirits up a little. Often when we are around people that are down, we tend to join them and all of a sudden it has created a extremely negative atmosphere. If you find a way to bring their spirits up then you both become brighter, a positive response will bring positive results.

There are many opportunities offered to us today to learn further or join organizations that can add to our life. If you dwell on the past where you were afraid or didn't do so well in the learning area you will never be able to enjoy and grow in future adventures. You may be passing up a opportunity that will make your life fulfilled.

Set goals for yourself and start taking steps to make them happen. This can happen by simply putting one foot in front of the other. Make sure your goals are really something you want and make them ones you know you can accomplish in time. Make your time count, make you count.

Peaks and Valleys by Spencer Johnson

Spencer Johnson has done very well for himself by taking simple lessons and sharing them in short stories. It is not surprising that USA Today called him "The King of Parables." "Peaks and Valleys: Making Good And Bad Times Work For You - At Work And In Life" is Johnson's newest parable, and like those before it, this book contains more than meets the eye.

The book is short, only 99 pages, and some of those contain only one quote. And like his other books, it is a smaller formatted hardcover. However, despite its length, there are some practical pearls of wisdom that if applied will make one's life more positive. It would be easy to dismiss this book as too simple, or too easy. After all, in the text Johnson refers to the story as common sense. But how many people actually apply the simple lessons of life? Treat others as you want to be treated is a universal lesson found throughout history, but do people actually apply it? Some do of course, but so many don't.

Often, we spend countless hours, sometimes even lifetimes, searching for some profound truth or magic moment that will enlighten us and make all of our troubles disappear and success and riches materialize in abundances we only dream about. While searching for the complicated, we sometimes fail to listen to the simple. We forget what we know. We don't apply the lessons we do learn because we are too busy looking for something greater.

What I like about "Peaks and Valleys" and the other books by Spencer Johnson is that they remind us of the simple, and encourage us to apply these simple lessons to our own lives. One of the lessons in "Peaks and Valleys" is to imagine yourself enjoying a better future in such specific, believable detail, that you soon enjoy doing what takes you there. This is not new. Earl Nightengale taught the same lesson in his "Strangest Secret." Nightengale taught "We become what we think about most of the time." Others have taught variations of this, and it is so simple that it is often overlooked.

Just because I have heard variations of this lesson before does not mean I didn't enjoy it here. Like the young man in this book, I too forget these lessons at times, especially when the hustle and bustle and stresses of today's world seem to overwhelm at times. The short time it took me to read "Peaks and Valleys" was a relaxing reminder of some important concepts that when followed make life better.

I would encourage anyone to take a little time for yourself, find a relaxing place, and enjoy this short parable by Spencer Johnson. Then take a little longer to assess how you can apply the lessons from this story to your own life. If you do, you just might find yourself enjoying more Peaks and realize your Valleys are not as bad as you thought.
