How Do I Get Un-Stuck?

It's sad to say, but the majority of people in our society are asking themselves this question every day. They feel hopeless when they are looking at their current situation and cannot see a way out. I know because I used to be one of them. Are you still there?

So, what does a person in this situation do? How does the common person get themselves out of this all too common state of life? Well, I can point you to this recourse, or introduce you to that opportunity, but none of those things will change your situation until you first change your mind, or the way your mind looks at situations. If you're still here reading this, then you obviously have the desire to change, but desire is nothing without the action to back it.

You first have to know, not hope it will happen. You have to know, not hope you will succeed. You have to KNOW! You see, until you develop a mind set of knowing, you will be approaching every situation in life from the state of lacking what it is you want. And if you are lacking, then there is doubt. And if there is doubt, there will never be success. But if you know something is already yours, then nothing can stop you from getting it (except you).

So don't lose hope. There are many great opportunities out there for you to get un-stuck. But before I can show you those, you must know that you absolutely can you absolutely will.

Don't Buy Another Self-Help Book - They Don't Work!

Life is always going to present challenges to us and, yes, it's how we handle these bumps in the road that create our future. Diet, exercise, weight control, creating a career path, dealing with relationships, divorce, parenting issues, retirement and lifestyle transitions are some of the things that will most likely test us along the way. Well, it's about time someone told you, most of the time, self-help books don't work! Truthfully, dealing with life is twofold: the knowledge of "how" is everywhere; the hard part is taking the steps to change. Here's some of the knowledge - you decide what to do next.

1.) you are great, you have a reason for being here and you have family and friends who love and care about you; stay connected with all of the people and activities that are positive for you, that give you purpose

2.) life is about setting goals and making decisions; it's not about the end result, it's about the journey; what are the things in your life that you would like to be different and what can you do about them

3.) what and who will help you stay focused

4.) acknowledge your successes, even if they are small steps; any positive move is worth celebrating

5.) regularly create memories and have lots of fun; balance with everything in your life is needed to achieve true success with your goals

6.) you will always have times in your life that are confusing, anxiety ridden, stressful - this is how you handle them:

Dealing with Life in a nutshell!

+ staying in the game - it's about trying whatever ideas and opportunities come your way; life is a lesson, there are no mistakes, most directions can be changed, beating yourself up about the past is self-defeating, being proactive for yourself is the quickest way to find solutions and success

+ taking care of yourself - take your vitamins & medication, eat healthy meals, drink water, get plenty of rest, and keep your environment orderly

+ have faith in something - find, explore and educate yourself about your faith; religious faith, faith in relationships, faith in the cosmos, whatever grounds you to the universe and keeps life in perspective - it's not just about you!!

Do something regularly that reminds you of your faith -reading the Bible, praying, talking to your children and continuing to read and think on a "global" level!

+ ask for help when you need it - you would want the people you care about to feel like they could come to you when they needed help, so you are doing a disservice to those who love and care about you to not allow them the opportunity to help you

+ giving to others - you will be rewarded two fold for staying regularly involved in giving to others; those in pain, those in need, those who are less fortunate than you, those who just need a friend or someone to listen to them; this will keep you connected to the world around you and keep you from thinking about yourself too much Now, think about the things in your life that you would like to change. Make a list, if that would help, start with one thing and do it. If you are having trouble, call a Coach!!

The Power of Truth

Everything you need to succeed is found within you. How you see yourself and your ability to succeed will be "make or break" of your business. I've seen some amazingly talented people give up because they allowed two words to take over their psyches. These words have had a profound impact on their lives and businesses. The words are, "I can't."

"I can't" are the two most debilitating words in the English language. "I can't" usually starts with the all to familiar "You can't," or "You'll never". These words seem to carry an intrinsic power. For some, it's a call to stand up and say, "Yes I can! Watch me!" For others it's call to sit in the ashes of self-defeat. Which one are you?

For years I allowed, "You can't" to get in the way of my success. There was a time when I believed I would never be a success. My self-esteem was so low I didn't think I could get up again. Then I realized the Power of Truth. The choice to get up or stay down had been given to me. My success or failure was up to me, no one else. I became fully aware that I had the power to choose. I chose to stand. After I made that decision. I made several changes in my life in order to keep my mind set on belief instead of unbelief.

My rules to stay standing are:

1. Start where you are. Don't think about past failures. Start right here, right now, today. Move ahead one-step at a time.

2. For every negative thought that comes into your mind create an opposing positive thought. Say it out loud. Write them down and keep them front of you. Read them daily.

3. Commit to your goal. Write down your goals. Make sure they are manageable and commit to making them happen. Keeping them visible is a great way of keeping them real.

4. Be in good company. Stay around positive people. Read positive material. I highly suggest joining online groups to provide support and accountability.

5. Trust the Power of Truth. No matter where you go there are going to be those who will want to knock you down. Connect with your inner power. Remember who you really are. Don't go back to the ashes.

Make the choice to stand.

Persistence - 3 Tips For Strengthening It

Persistence is a vital ingredient in your success or failure. If you don't have enough perseverance then you will most certainly fail.

However if you are able to weather the storm in the face of trials, heart aches and disappointments while pursuing your goals you will eventually meet with success.

Here are 3 tips for strengthening your persistence.

Revisit the dream. Consistently remember what it is that you are working for.

If it is a new car, a college degree, or your own successful business, imagine yourself in possession of it. Get pictures of what it is that you want and look at them often. Put yourself in the pictures. Imagine what it is going to be like when you get what it is that you want.

Maintaining a clear vision of the object of your desire gives you the motivation you need to keep going on in spite of discouraging circumstances.

Monitor the results. As you are following your plan check to see if you are on track. Let's say you planned to save $1,500 in six months for a down payment on that new car that you wanted. You planned to save $250 per month. If you only have $300 saved 3 months into your plan then you've gotten off track. You are going to be disappointed 3 months later unless you make some adjustments.

To often we make a plan then we start working the plan but we don't look at the results along the way. With this approach you will miss your goals and get frustrated. In order to stay on coarse examine your results on a regular bases. This way you can avoid potential shortfalls that are within your control. You will stay on track and thus stave off discouragement.

Take breaks. Be sure to step away from your work from time to time. It may seem like taking time off is counter-productive, but it is quite the opposite. You will find that are actually stronger upon returning after taking a break or vacation.

I have struggled with this one before in the past, but I have discovered the benefits of taking breaks. I usually come back to my work more aware of opportunities that I had previously overlooked. As the saying goes, I was too close to the forest to see the trees.

When you take time off you gain a fresher perspective. And your energy level will be higher as a result of taking that time off. Also taking a break will give you the endurance that you need to completely follow through with your plans. Taking regular breaks protect you against burn out.

Use these tips to increase your level of persistence. Your dream or desire demands a price that must be paid by you in advance before you can possess it. But the reward is worth it. Stick with your plan. Persist and you will obtain the prize.

Four Sure-Fire Ways to NOT Achieve Your New Year's Resolutions

Most people tend to give up on making New Year's Resolution simply because they claim they do not work. Below are some sure ways to totally sink your New Year's Resolutions (if you have made any).

1. Create a Total Lack Of Clarity in What You Want

Just make statements such as "I want to be more successful", "I want more customers" or even "I want more money". Unsuccessful people tend to make generalized statements about what they want. One big problem is that they will never know whether they have reached it or not. Successful People tend to be very specific in what they want- "Success to me means that I want to get on track to exercising regularly 3 times a week on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night at 9pm" or "I want to see my customer base increase 8% this year". They tend to print many copies of their resolutions and pint them up in areas most visible. This goes with the saying, "Out of sight, out of mind."

2. Create Unrealistic Expectations With No Milestone Planning

One typical example is a weight lost expectation: I want to lose 13.2 pounds (or 6 kg) this quarter. Or another: I want to increase my income by 5 times. They do so without doing anything different from last year. If you want to increase your income by 5-fold, what you are currently doing has to change and starting creating new strategies for it. Creating milestones are also important in helping you keep track where you are in your goal. Whole year goals should be mixed with quarterly goals so that you know where you are going and can celebrate when you achieve them along the way. Celebration is an important aspect of getting results.

3. Do Not Come Up With A Plan To Achieve It

Dreams are great, and most of the time the first thing to achieve your dreams is to wake up! Unsuccessful people tend to just WANT things or results. They may not want to put in a plan to specify how they intend to achieve results. As the saying goes, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Successful people usually have a plan (may not be the perfect plan) that will ensure that they will draw closer to the desired results. They know that plans can change according to the situations and remain flexible.

4. They Do Not Share Their Intentions With Other People

From my experience, most people believe that we should just keep our resolutions quiet and ensure that others do not know about it. This is so that when one fails, no one will know. However, if you intend to achieve it, shout it out and ensure that your best friends, colleagues or even (gasp!) family members know about it. When you put yourself on the line, you tend to achieve it. This is because there are people around you reminding you of what you have said!

So... what are you waiting for? Can you share with me your plans?

Loving From the Heart

True and honest love emanates from the heart chakra - a.k.a. heart center. The heart chakra is also where other virtuous emotions emanate, such as joy, happiness, honesty, respect, compassion, understanding, and generosity, and with loving oneself in a sincere, non-egotistic way. The heart chakra is through which you connect with others whom you love or have affection towards. Once forged, these links are very difficult to break, which is why people suffer so much through the break-up of a relationship or the loss of a loved one.

Expressing love can be as easy as giving a hug to someone after having established a connection. This gesture makes your love more powerful and the depth of what you feel more meaningful. By connecting with your heart chakra, you will be able to express the real nature of your feelings and spread love to all whom you encounter.

There will be times when you demonstrate your affection, and you might not feel completely honest and your actions do not match your emotions. Reaching within your heart and connecting to your spirit and the love that it contains, however, allows you to act from a place of purity and unconditional love.

Opening to your heart chakra strengthens the feelings you have for those in your life-family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and colleagues. When you are with people, you can imagine there is a golden light emanating from within your heart center. Contained within this light are all the love, peace and goodwill you wish for others. As you extend this love, picture this light expanding and enveloping them and you-thus, making it easier to communicate those feelings. You will find that expressing your feelings from your heart center brings you closer to others in a warm and profound way.

Primal Leadership - A Book Summary

Primal leadership takes center stage in this book. This concept goes beyond the set of conventional competencies on the making of a leader. Beyond bottom line figures, this book takes a leap forward with the concept of primal leadership through a keen and in-depth understanding of emotional intelligence and its link to leading and building emotionally intelligent organizations.

The authors explore the idea of leadership as an emotional
function. They propose that the fundamental task of a leader is to create resonance at work, thereby unleashing positive traits and attributes in people. Emotionally intelligent leaders bring organizational success to the fore because they inspire, motivate and foster commitment in people.

Harness the power of primal leadership in this book and bring out the emotionally intelligent leader in you.

Primal Dimension of Leadership

The use of emotion in leadership functions is a primal task that sets leaders apart. Great leaders move people by channeling emotions in the right direction, whether it is in formulating corporate strategy in the boardroom or a series of action items in the shop floor.

Resonance Effect

The positive channeling of emotions that empowers people to be top performers is called resonance. The culture of resonance brings out the best in people. On the other hand, when leaders negatively drive emotions dissonance is created. Dissonance is not conducive to harmonious working relationships as it can undermine peoples potentials.

Key to Primal Leadership

Emotional intelligence is the foundation of making primal
leadership work. An emotionally intelligent leader knows how to handle himself and his relationship with the people he works with in order to drive up performance.

Good Moods, Good Work

A good mood is essential for a team to function effectively. It is crucial for a leader to foster positive working relationships because emotional conflicts in a group can hamper a teams performance.

A study of CEOs from Fortune 500 companies revealed that
positive overall mood of top management people leads to better cooperation and better business performance. This argument takes the view that it is top management that creates the conditions for workers to work well.

Resonant Leader

For emotionally intelligent leaders, resonance comes naturally in their dealings with people. Their actions reinforce synchrony within their team and within the organization. The strength of an emotionally resonant leader lies in the emotional bond he forms which allows people to collaborate with each other even in the face of change and uncertainty.

Four Dimensions of Emotional Intelligence

The creation of resonance is a hallmark of primal leadership that can only be fostered by emotionally intelligent leaders. For a leader to promote prime resonance in a group, it is important to understand the four EI competencies. Interestingly, these competencies are not innately inherent but are learned abilities. According to research, an effective leader typically demonstrates at least one competence among
the four dimensions.

1. Self-Awareness

2. Self-Management

3. Social Awareness

4. Relationship Management

Approaches to Leadership in a Nutshell

1. Visionary

2. Coaching

3. Affiliative

4. Democratic

5. Pacesetting

6. Commanding

The Five Discoveries of Self-Directed Learning

1. First Discovery: My ideal self Who do I want to be?

2. Second Discovery: My real self Who am I? What are my strengths and gaps?

3. Third Discovery: My learning agenda How can I build on my strengths while reducing my gaps?

4. Fourth Discovery: Experimenting with and practicing new behaviors, thoughts, and feelings to the point of mastery.

5. Fifth Discovery: Developing supportive and trusting
relationships that make change possible.

Final Notes

Primal leadership is anchored on emotions. These emotions have underlying neurological explanations to them such as the open loop system. Thus, a leader must work hard to obtain emotional intelligence competencies that will make him a resonant leader
because resonance is the key to primal leadership.

A resonant leader builds a culture of resonance by emonstrating emotionally intelligent abilities that permeate throughout the organization. A resonant leader aims to live a resonant life for him and his people in order to make resonant work. It is this kind of work that builds an emotionally intelligent
organization a kind of organization that can survive the changing business climate because it has built-in processes that can sustain change.

As You Thinketh

As a being of Power, Intelligence, and Love, and the lord of his own thoughts, man holds the key to every situation, and contains within himself that transforming and regenerative agency by which he may make himself what he wills.
~James Allen

A few years ago, an engineering firm that I had some training business with went through a major shake-up. The outgoing president had, for years, been the only real "salesperson" within the organization, and as a result, the company was only growing at a rate that was determined by the number of people that he could see in the run of a day, week or year. Because he was the "front guy" for the company, the employees (project engineers, support staff, technicians etc.) were content to just do the job and move to the next project without looking for new business opportunities. The company, while growing minutely every year, was not nearly as productive as it should have been, simply because the employees thought that it wasn't their jobs to be selling, they thought instead that it was their jobs to do the technical work.

Enter a brand new CEO who had a history of creating effective productive work teams that worked together to build the organization. His first priority was to create a company understanding that "everyone sells!" Within the space of a year, company profits were almost double what they were the year before, and were growing steadily.

Creating this philosophy certainly wasn't easy. There were comments like, "I didn't go to engineering school for 5 years to be a salesman", or "I'm very good technically, but I can't sell". One person felt that the change was too much for him, and he left the company for greener pastures.

The new CEO knew that there would be a certain amount of flak thrown into the path of company growth, but he put it down as a necessary risk that he was more than willing to take. He believed that his people could bridge the gap and make the difference, and he made them believe in themselves.

Today, the people in this company are very much aligned to the business philosophy of everyone selling. As a matter of fact, they realize that their secured future within this company depends on them bringing in new business from both existing and new clients. A culture of competitiveness has been created.

No matter what the business practices and philosophies are in the leaders of organizations or groups today, the organizations for which they are responsible will take on the qualities of its leader. The leadership, or lack of it, creates the business culture, and the culture determines how people act and behave. That is the awesome responsibility of the leader.

If the leader is open and enthusiastic and is consistent in promoting the vision and core values of the organization, then you can rest assured that the people who make up the company will be the same way. Business will grow and employees will be productive and happy. On the contrary, if the leader is an inconsistent and thoughtless dictator, then the people will morph into that same picture before long and business will decline and employees will be seen applying for and searching for alternate employment.

Whatever the case, it is the core values and principles of the leader that are followed. In everyday life, as in business, it is the same: we are who we think we are, and we act according to our core values and beliefs. In his book "As A Man Thinketh", James Allen said in the opening chapter: Man is made or unmade by himself; in the armory of thought he forges the weapons by which he destroys himself. He also fashions the tools with which he builds for himself heavenly mansions of joy and strength and peace. By the right choice and true application of thought, man ascends to the Divine Perfection; by the abuse and wrong application of thought, he descends below the level of the beast. Between these two extremes are all the grades of character, and man is their maker and master.

So, if it is true that we are what we think we are, and what we think, we are, which thoughts are leading you? Are you an optimist who always sees a better way, or do you have pessimistic tendencies that when you see an obstacle you give up? Do circumstances guide you, or do you create your own? Do you take on a willing attitude towards leadership, or do you hide out in your office?

As you are carrying on with your life and business, remember that people who are influenced by your actions and decisions are watching you, and will emulate your actions. What they see you do, they will do, and what see you not doing, they will not do... so, what kind of leader will you be? Will you set the bar high and coach people to a higher level by training positive thinking and actions, or will you be a dictator and demand that people change and not give them a good reason to do so except that you demand it. Remember that Bad thinking leads to bad decisions, bad decisions lead to bad actions, bad actions lead to bad habits, bad habits lead to bad character and bad character leads to a bad destiny... But right thinking leads to good decisions, right decisions leads to right actions, right actions lead to right habits, right habits lead to right character and right character leads to right destination!

Make this your best week ever!

Self-Awareness - The 3 Keys to Achievement - Attitude, Action and Acknowledgment

"Learn to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want." ~Anonymous
Most people want to achieve success but it is important to be mindful that the definition of success may be different for each individual. In order to achieve what you want there are three important elements - attitude, actions and acknowledgments.

Attitude

The first step is to assess your attitude and how it helps or hinders your achievements. If negative beliefs keep popping up, it generally results in an unproductive outcome. Negative thinking can consist of constant worry, "what if" scenarios or not trusting yourself to manage and cope. Constant negativity tends to block creativity. When you assume the worst it is hard to think and complete things. Have you ever had one of those days when doubt keeps cropping up. Eg. "I'll never complete this project on time." or " I don't think my boss believes I am capable." With these kinds of thoughts on your mind, how effective will you be in completing your work?

A positive attitude contributes to a belief that you have the ability to handle situations. It does not mean that you always have a "happy, nothing can bother me attitude", but rather when stuff happens you are able to deal with it. You want to make sure that you do not magnify the positive and minimize the negative and thereby don't see the reality of a situation. As you move up the career ladder you will need to be able to accurately assess both the positives and negatives and then make decisions.

Actions

Actions are your behaviors, the things you do which move you toward your goals. Taking action is an important step towards achievement. People sometimes assume that only big things count as taking action. However it is often the small, steady actions which contribute to you reaching your goals.

Inaction is paradoxically a form of action. If you have difficulty or avoid making decisions because you want to be sure you only do the "right" thing, you often end up doing nothing. You may also choose to do nothing because you have determined that it is the right decision at the time.

Sometimes fear may prevent you from doing or trying things that will lead you toward achievement. Perhaps you have a fear of public speaking, but you need to develop the skill in order to move your career or business forward. It would be important to begin to take small action steps, doing things that will make you more comfortable with speaking in public.

Maybe you have difficulty saying "no" which results in you constantly taking on additional assignments leading to being overwhelmed. Your action might be to begin saying "no" or a variation of "no." This might be something such as, "that would mean two projects to be completed at the same time, which would you like me to work on?" or "In order to do that I would have to delegate some of my other work. Is that OK with you?"

Acknowledgments

Paying attention to what you have completed or accomplished and expressing gratitude for what you have and towards others are powerful strategies for moving you forward in your life.

There may be people you know who have difficulty accepting a compliment. They might either ignore or minimize it. This generally relates to someone's self image. If you do not consider yourself "worthy" of positives then you tend to discard them. This may be a remnant from childhood when perhaps you received a lot of criticism. It is important to remember when you disregard positive feedback, you are conveying a message of disrespect towards the person who is offering it.

Acknowledging and expressing appreciations is also important. Walking down the street and saying hello to people, holding a door open or saying thank you are small ways of acknowledging others. When you do things for others or have them done for you, how does it impact your mood?

Evaluate your definition of success. The three components of achieving the life you desire are your attitude, your actions and acknowledgments. Perhaps now is a good time to become more aware of how you use these qualities in your daily life.

He has helped hundreds, and now has a book out, Now, Discover Your Strengths, that teaches people to recognize their innate abilities.

Unfortunately, most of us have little awareness of our talents and strengths, much less the ability to build our lives around them. Instead, guided by society, we become experts in our weaknesses and our lives revolve around trying to fix our flaws. In the meantime our strengths lie dormant and neglected.

Think of something you are really good at. Some area of your life were you show a natural advantage , talent, strength or passion. "That's where you start," Marcus says.

Where is Heaven

Many people live their lives with the assumption that Heaven is out there somewhere and is completely separate from life on earth. Many are taught that Heaven is a mystical place only accessed through death of the physical body. But in actuality, the spiritual planes of reality and the physical earth plane interpenetrate one another in the same point in space. Each plane has its own unique energetic structure that vibrates at its own frequency. The physical world is the lowest vibration of energy and actually lies within higher vibrational planes.

We can routinely access some of the higher, less dense planes through sleep, meditation or prayer. Whenever we are in an altered state of consciousness, we align with higher vibrational planes of reality and may come to have an expanded awareness that we dont experience in a waking state.

In the case of meditation , as we connect with our higher self, our creativity may be awakened or we may experience a light bulb moment that gives us a better understanding of who we are or of a situation going on in our lives.

As we dream, we are whisked off to a land of symbolismthe secret language of Spirit. Dreams can offer clues that can help us to resolve matters in our current waking lives. Through our dreams, we may also come in contact with deceased friends or family members or even catch a glimpse of an event that hasnt happened yet. Dream interpretation is a very useful tool that can bring the workings of Heaven into our awareness.

In prayer to the God of our understanding, we place ourselves in a position to be humbly conscious of the limitless possibilities that Heaven offers us. By recognizing the opportunities open to us, we can act on them and bring them into manifest.

Heaven is not a place, it is a system a system of subtle energies that are constantly stirring about and creating new effects that help shape and transform our daily lives. The earth plane is not separate from this system; it is merely the physical component of it. The system that sustains us in life is the same system that sustains us in death.

Goals to Live by and Guild Your Life - Self Help Tips

The start of the new year is a traditional time to reflect on the accomplishments of the previous year and establish goals for the future. Our family started setting goals when our children were still in grade school. We sat at the kitchen table, each with a blank page of paper before us. We encouraged them to be creative and dream big. The variety of my families goals surprised me. Some of their goals were loftier than others. They included:

- Skydive

- Finish college

- Invent something

- Travel to all 50 U.S. states

- Be in the Guinness Book of World Records

My husband and I also set big goals for ourselves. After each session, I typed up our goals. I printed each of our goals separately and mounted them in picture frames posted outside our bedrooms where we would see them every day. Several times a year we take them down and review our progress. We note the completed goals, make modifications or add new goals. New pages are printed and inserted as the top sheet in the frame. We have been doing this for 15 years now. During the review process, we look back on previous year goals are tucked behind the glass. When we reflect on our progress, I'm delighted to see how many of these big goals we have accomplished. Wally Amos is one of the most inspiring and goal focused people I know. I had the chance to visit with him recently at his cookie Chip and Cookie store in Waikiki. Wally says there are no big goals. According to Wally, some goals just take longer to achieve than other goals. If you get an opportunity to visit Oahu, Hawaii, stop by to say hello to Wally and sample the cookies at his "Chip and Cookie" stores. Where do you what to be next year? Start off 2009 by setting goals for yourself.

Goals That Come True!

Setting goals is a very important thing to do in your life. But, setting a goal does not guarantee that it will actually happen. Just writing a goal down on paper does not make it come true. What can you do to make sure that your goals DO come true?

First of all, you have to make your goals more than just wishes or hopes. They have to excite you and create a compelling drive so that you are motivated and inspired to make sure that they do happen. You also have to make sure that you are 100 percent committed to yourself and your goals.

DO NOT MAKE WISHES...

Your goals have to be just that--goals. They can not be things that you wish would happen or things that you just dream about happening. No matter what, you can be guaranteed that there are going to be setbacks in your life. There are going to be roadblocks between you and your goals.

But, you can get past these roadblocks if you are 100 percent committed to achieving your goals. Action is key. No one has ever achieved their desires by simply dreaming or wishing for them to happen. There are no magic words you can recite that will make your dreams just appear before you.

You have to be willing to get up and take action so that they do happen. Otherwise, your goals really are nothing more than just wishes or hopes. Keep yourself committed and get up and get moving closer towards what you really do want in life.

Beyond Positive Thinking by Dr Robert Anthony - A Book Review

Another exciting self-help book. This time it is by a Doctor and has studied human behavior for many years. Beyond Positive Thinking is packed full of powerful ideas. He also talks about the same stuff as James Arthur Ray in Harmonic Wealth. They both talk of quantum physics.

An important part of the book can be summed up in 3 words; Be Happy Now.

He starts off by saying that we are responsible for our own actions. Our word is Law in the Universe. Most of our beliefs and ideas come from the past and no longer serve us at all. We have to let them go and get some new beliefs. We are to have a vision of ourselves based on truth.

Everyone has a subconscious mind and it is this mind that can guide us to better circumstances and conditions.

Many of us are on a self-destructive mission. We say don't tell me anything that is in conflict with my beliefs, I already have them all ingrained in my mind and anything else will only mess them up.

Got a goal in mind? Keep it to yourself. Telling others will just weaken your motivation towards it. Telling others will only drive them to tell you it won't work, get out while you can and you're wasting your time.

He goes on about being around negative people and how they can rob you of you own creative power.

Too many of us operate on the premise of Seeing is believing. Those people are in for a big disappointment in their life. Believe it before you even see it, it is with this knowledge that the universe comes through.

Choose to make positive choices in your life.

Choose to feel good. Choose to laugh. Choose not to criticize others. Make positive choices for you.

Face your worries, it is only you that gives them power.

This entire book is full of really incredible ways to live life with the Universe, and not against it. It has true to life examples illustrating what life was like and what it could be. This book will have you squirming in your chair as I'm sure there are parts that you will disagree with. Once you put these skills in practice you're going to be saying, You know what? He was right!.
Thank you Dr. Robert Anthony.

What You Need to Know to Improve Your Study Skills

Improving your study skills will make you a better student when taking tests and exams for any subject. Students who struggle to perform on tests do so for a variety of reasons. A big reason why certain students struggle is a failure to prepare properly. Students may be studying but not fully using their time wisely. This article will talk about how motivation and a desire to be great is the fundamental building block to success.

Tiger Woods is a classic example of motivation and a desire to be great, having that motivation and desire means going to the driving range and hitting 1000 golf balls everyday. But how do you get motivated or if you perceive to not have motivation how do you develop it. The answer is to find what motivates you. What I mean by that is what do you want to accomplish. Not knowing what you want to achieve makes it very difficult to get motivated.

Motivation and desire are often not always the difference between a great student and a good student. Its the difference the majority of times between a good student and a student who just gets by. Improving your study skills takes commitment and a desire to want to change. In essence you have to be motivated to make that change. Motivation can happen very quickly if you make the conscience decision to embrace it. That is the point of this article and how it relates to improving your study skills. To improve you must focus on it, set goals and get motivated to learn new study skills and then apply them. If you do you will see results in the classroom and exams guaranteed.

I have written a ton of articles on tips and study suggestions but without goals, desire and motivation all these tips will not help you. Students who graduate Magna Cum Laude have the desire to be great in school. They have a focus, they make sacrifices and they are motivated to complete a task to the best of their ability. If you want to be great at whatever you do strive for it and don't stop until you reach your goals.

My motivation was to become a better student by learning how to improve my study skills and also learning how to increase my study speed. Motivation will help you become a better student guaranteed but you have to find it and use it. As mentioned before becoming a better student is learning how to increase your study speed. A website you can go to to learn the benefits of speed studying is here SpeedStudyMethod.com Imagine how well of a test taker you will be when you can study twice the material in half the time. My motivation was because I had more time to focus on other things. There are many benefits to using this method of studying. I used this method and was able to finish my undergrad in 3 and half years and currently I carry a 3.79 in my MBA program. If you want to be a better student follow these tips and check the website out you won't regret it.

Book Review - The Highly Sensitive Person's Survival Guide

The Highly Sensitive Person's Survival Guide: Essential Skills for Living Well in an Overstimulating World

By Ted Zeff, Ph. D.

Copyright 2004 Published by New Harbinger Publications

Get ready for many suggestions and alternatives to life as usual when you read this book! Liberally sprinkled with real-life examples, you get to see how other HSPs like you have adjusted factors in their lives to suit them.

So many suggestions makes this a valuable book and somewhat overwhelming at the same time. Even with the author's own words encouraging you to take it slow and adopt a few things at a time, it holds the possibility of stopping a HSP in their tracks. You might want to read this one slowly, working on chapters with their suggestions one at a time.

What's very valuable about Zeff's perspective is his no-nonsense look at what really has to happen to be a happy HSP. He deals directly with the inner journey that is so important to reshaping life. He asks you to get clear on your goals, whether living the way you are now is either helping or harming you, how the impact of low self-esteem and not loving yourself affects you and how to constructively look at your beliefs to change your habits. He even gives a healthy six-month time frame to cement a new habit -- the longest I've ever heard quoted.

Valuable topics include:

  • Coping with time pressure
  • Calming your senses
  • Finding agreeable foods
  • Sensible exercise (at about 50% of your capacity, which is great for those of us who hate sweating)
  • Getting external support while you are changing habits
  • Thinking ahead to prepare in advance
  • Learning to be more in control and other attitude adjustments
  • The importance of routine and pacing your activity
  • Nurturing your sensitive soul
  • Finding health practitioners and healers

While highly instructive, Zeff's writing 'can be somewhat annoying. He is very repetitive in his points. For example, food choices, television and yoga seem to come up in every chapter. Additionally, his choice of words can appear somewhat judgmental in how he labels society and cultural norms. Still, I find some assurance in this as I know it was written by someone who is highly sensitive.

You may have heard or read some of this advice before cracking the cover of this volume. It is still good reading because perhaps for the first time, you are getting from someone who shares your sensitivity. That slight twist of perspective shows you how to take what the rest of the world does and modify it for your own peace of mind and body. That's a valuable skill to hone!

Then, there are areas included here that you might never have considered as alternatives otherwise, like Ayurveda. Exploring these choices can lead you in new directions and benefit you at the same time.

With each chapter ending with lists that recap the valuable points, you can easily morph this book into a refresher guide that keeps you in tune with your own nature. Read a list each day and you will keep valuable choices on the top of your mind. How much easier could it be to tune up your life?

Success is For Everybody

Success is available to everybody. Nobody was born successful.

Success is all a matter of what you want in life and how desperate you are to get it; you and you alone are responsible for your own achievements and success in life.

Success starts with an idea or dream of what you want to become or achieve. This idea or dream must be a desire or passion within you then you stand a good chance of achieving what you want and thereby being successful, other peoples ideas won't necessarily mean that you will be successful.

To be successful you must be motivated and be clear and specific in what it is that you want to achieve. There are certain steps that you need to follow, nothing will just happen and give you the desired results;

You must have a goal.

-You must put in writing what it is that you want (be specific).
-Write down when you want to achieve it (date).
-Write down how you want to achieve it (resources that's needed).
-What are you prepared to sacrifice to achieve your goal?
-Repetition (Read and re-read daily).
-Educate yourself.
-How are you going to share your success?

Now let's look at each of these points by themselves;

1.Formulate a goal.
Every idea or dream will stay just that unless it is put down as something definite that
you want to achieve. Unless you work on your idea or dream and put it down as a definite goal the chances of achieving it is very slim, because with the first obstacle a person encounters the chances of saying it is to hard, become very relevant or I've tried my best.

2.Put goal in Writing.
When it is in writing you will be able to see a month or year from now what it is that you
really wanted to achieve. Ensure that it is realistic and achievable. Very unlikely that any human being can stay under water like a fish for days on end without breathing apparatus. With a goal in writing one can regularly check and see if you are still on track and if it is perhaps necessary to put in more effort or work harder to achieve your goal. Unless it is in writing it will remain an idea or dream and can change as circumstances change.

3.When will the goal be achieved.
Unless a specific date is recorded it will remain as an unfulfilled dream. The date must be realistic and achievable. Ensure that the date allow time for unforeseen circumstances.

4.How the goal will be achieved.
What resources are needed? What assistance is required and where will it be obtained? If physical equipment is required like books, buy it from the outset as it will mean commitment.

5.What will be sacrificed?
If the goal involves studying, then parties and socials must come second to the studies. The goal must be more important than TV or other games. Don't neglect physical activities as a fit body means a fit mind. Don't ignore important people like loved ones or family. Don't push yourself to the point of a burnout.

6.Repetition.
Read your goal at least twice daily and then once aloud, convince your inner self that this is what you want, therefore read with the right emotion. By continually reading your goal you will stay focused. Reading the goal will immediately highlight if any diversions is sidetracking you.

7.Educate yourself.
It is necessary to read relevant information to keep you inspired. You might need some specific information. Books or manuals might be informative as to other people's achievements. Watch informative videos or screen shots. You might even need to join a library, depending on your goal.

8.Sharing success.
Who will you share your success with? Who will benefit from your success? How will you live with this success?

Belief in yourself, hard work and perseverance is some of the key elements of success.
Look at the achievements of any great name in history or just the achievements of any Olympics athlete.

Your success depends on yourself.

What Does God Say? What Are Dreams?

Sleep accomplishes much more than resting the physical body. The spirit within us never sleeps - we are sparks off the Divine Flame, does God ever sleep? No, and neither do the Angels. Our spirit inhabits our bodies like electrical wiring in a house. And while we sleep, no lights may be turned on, but that does not mean the current isn't active. Dreams are often remembrances of the rich and wonderful spiritual life that we accomplish while our physical body sleeps. There are seven main categories that dreams fall into, and most of them achieve fantastic work.

(1). Night School: Called a school because there are many participants with you in a classroom setting, this is a time of being taught a lesson and then trying it out for yourself. These are often choices not between right and wrong, but about good and greater good. After the teacher shows the variables of the lesson, the student is then placed into a scenario in which they can apply what they have learned and see for themselves what works. Similar to a test pilot using new skills in a simulator. Although very few people remember the classroom part of their dreams, many people do remember the scenarios.

(2). Guidance for others: This is where we get to actively use what we have learned at night school in real life situations. This is where most of our remembered dreams come from. When our body sleeps, our spirit is not in it, but is tethered by what is often termed an umbilical or silver cord. It is there until we die, and is the same one seen by near-death experiencers. During this time, we get to act as guides for others who are awake. Not all guides are still attached to physical bodies, some have died and are assigned specific people to help, similar to a guardian Angel. Compassion is a very big incentive in bringing out our best effort; so often God will choose for us to see our loved ones in these situations instead of the people that are really there.

For example: I had a dream where my teenage daughter had become pregnant and had run away from home. She was seen living under a bridge with other homeless people, so I got in our station wagon with our family dog and her grandpa and a friend, and went to bring her home. When I opened the car door, the dog ran up and found my daughter. She was afraid, but I carefully pulled her hair out of her eyes and she looked up and smiled, and said yes to coming home. I then awoke with a start, not knowing if this was a prophetic dream of things to come or not, so I asked in prayer, and was given the answer. I was actually helping find a black girl who was a pregnant runaway, a family abuse situation. The station wagon was a police car; the dog was a police dog. Yes the girl was afraid, and I was helping a social worker to calm her down, wiping the hair from her eyes, saying comforting words, and giving the worker inside information as to what was going on in the girl's life and additional compassion to help her choose the best way to help. The girl gained confidence that she would not be sent back to her abusive family and went with the social worker. Often in these dreams we feel like we are really there because we are.

Remember that while in spirit you will experience everything as a spirit does. You can fly, go through things, objects and light looks different, you can't see distance the same, you can't stare at your feet, time is not important, you can see other spirits, ghosts, Angels, unHoly Angels, etc. These dreams may find us in different countries, or even in different times, as God decides where to utilize us and time does not move just in a linear fashion; by ripple effect this changes the future or present time. In these dreams we may also help with storms or wildfires, or any number of things with the planet or its animals. And even though we feel is it happening to us, we are there helping others. If you remember to look in a mirror while in these dreams, you will see it is not you. Also, not all outcomes will be good, people will still die, or end up in poor situations. This is because you are not there in place of the free will of the person you are helping, but only to assist them with a subconscious awareness of opportunities and choices.

The combined experiences of real life and night school qualify us to be there to help, and you were sent by Divine direction to do this. This also means that you have your guardian Angel with you, and are directly wired to greater help which will be there instantly if the thought crosses your mind that you need it. This means Holy Angels are called to help you and the situation.

(3). Items from the stream of consciousness: Living on earth encases us in a vibratory soup of subatomic particles - we are intrinsically linked together, every part of us resonating with everything else. But the connection goes even further than that; we emotionally feel subtle and tremendous inflections in our very soul. It is that same place that mystics have been saying throughout time, that "we are all One." It is that same connection that we have with one another at all times, it makes no difference whether we are asleep or awake. When we are just about to sleep, or just coming out of it, there are opportunities to be very conscious of this stream, and to literally see it in front of our eyes; sometimes like sheets of rain in a storm, or big and little dots layered together. It is like a newsreel that runs day and night, with all information from all over the world on thousands of TV sets. All with their volume up and playing out the most dramatic and emotional scenes - which means the biggest bad things, and the best good things.

Why do we have this in us? The same reason we are called to help in guiding dreams - to make a difference in the world. The stream of consciousness is a place of awareness for us, and connection to God and one another. It is not technically a dream, but we may think it is when we are half-way in between awake and asleep; we see many situations and very quickly move between them. Remember that when we see things that are not the way they should be our desire to make it better helps it to do just that. There are children born who work in this picture-within-a-picture all the time, and depending on how big the picture of the stream is, decides how much they can function in the "real" world versus the one they are actively participating each moment. What we consider day-dreams can come from here too

(4). Visits from the other side: You would probably feel scared if your dead great-great grandmother appeared in front of you right now; and because of the fear, the bigger picture for the visit may not get through. This is the reason why Angels and spirits (different than ghosts who have not yet gone to God) do not appear very often, since they do not want to make us afraid. When we are asleep is the best time to say "Hi!" and tell us what we need to know, or even to have full conversations. This is also why most visitations occur shortly after a loved one's death, because they want to let you know they are OK, so you can be comforted that they are not really gone. Visits can also occur from the other side in negative ways, with visits of beings that want to scare us, make us feel helpless or hopeless or make us think that if we don't do certain things that bad will befall us. These will sometimes even appear like a loved one or a Holy Angel or even God. But these are fallen Angels, also called unHoly Angels or demons. When God made Angels he made them with free will, and some unplugged from his Love. How can you tell the difference? There are things that you can do.

Before you go to sleep at night, include in your prayers that no unHoly Angels may come near you, talk to you or cause any harm. Also, if you forget, simply remind yourself in your dream to ask one question of them, and no matter what they appear to be, the truth will be known. No matter what religion you are, ask "Do you love Jesus Christ now?" It is important to add "now" because at one time they all did, as part of one big Angelic brotherhood. The one who came to be known on earth as Jesus Christ had a pre-human existence, and was the firstborn son of God. All the Angels know who he is, what responsibilities he was given, how they were fulfilled, and the expanded power and authority he has now. If they are truly who they appear to be, they will answer "yes," if not, they will give all kinds of excuses, or curse, or try to scare you, and all you have to do is call in the Holy Angels who will protect you.

(5). Prophetic Dreams or Messages from God: These can be prophetic dreams telling of something coming up that we need to be aware of or make certain choices in (there is no such thing as fate). Or they can be outright messages to us from an Angel, from Jesus or an appearance of God himself. These are usually very BIG feeling dreams, and are rarely seen as anything else than what they are by the dreamer. A person may have none or several in a lifetime, but they are always considered life-changing and very real. They are easy to remember even years after they occur. They also happen to people who may not consider themselves very spiritual or religious, or to people who think they never dream. But when they happen they know it, and recognize that it is different than anything else they have ever experienced.

(6). Memories from previous lives: These can happen in two different ways. We are born with a veil in place that does many different things; one thing is a cover over our previous lives so that we can concentrate on the one at hand and not fret about what we should have done in a past one. When God lifts the veil, it is to reveal times of encouragement for us of our successes even in the midst of great difficulty. But if we have gone to someone for "past life regression," we have opened a big can of worms and can have all sorts of things come up that are distressing and distracting. Openings in the veil are most clear during sleep, and the memories are seen as dreams. These can occur as day-dreams as well.

(7). Scattered downloads and sorting from the day and memories from this life: This category is where you will find written all the self-help books about deciphering dreams. And though this is where most of people's energies seem to go, it is actually the least important category of all. The purpose of these dreams is simply to help sort, shuffle and organize the mind's input and connection. It may be a mixture of all kinds of things - TV, worries, stories, etc. Although these dreams are a linking between mind and spirit, there is little here worth remembering or applying to our conscious lives, and are really just remnants we may or may not remember viewing; mostly jumbled scenes which make very little sense.

So there are basically seven kinds of dreams that we have, and most are remembrances of the rich and wonderful spiritual life that we accomplish while our physical body sleeps. And we can also experience whatever is Divinely in place for us for the night, or we may also ask for a specific kind of dream. For example, we may request to have a "fluffy" dream that is light, joyful to help us shift more easily from the often stressful "guidance" dreams, so that would be the last thing on our minds before awakening. Never feel that you are not doing enough in your life, the bigger plan is already in place; God can utilize us even while we rest. Dreaming is hard work but wonderful, so never feel guilty that you need your sleep!

Do You Believe in the Bible - Religion

Do you really believe in the Bible? The other day I was listening to an audio book on the Dead Sea Scrolls. The author had a Ph.D. and of course I have no idea what the Ph.D. was in, it didn't say on the audio book cover. He made the statement below and it got me thinking about our beliefs and what we believe in.

"For those who want proof positive that the Bible is true, there's really only one thing to say for those who disbelieve no proof is possible for those who believe no proof is necessary."

The statement is coming from an educated person and it kind of sounds like an oxymoron. For those who want proof positive that the Bible is true, there is really only one thing to say, for those who disbelieve no proof is possible. What does that mean to a Christian and this same statement applies to most religions throughout the world. If you want proof positive, there really isn't any is there.

Researchers can prove certain parts of the Bible like, people's names and that some of these people were actually alive and have some history to them, geographical locations like cities, rivers and oceans, and some beneficial facts to religious believers. I don't want to single just the Bible out here, other religious text can't be proven, proof positive.

There are a lot of sections in the Bible that quite possibly could never be proven. Unless of course God or some sort of superior being with superior knowledge could give us positive proof that the Bible was true. This of course would eliminate the need for faith and faith is pretty much the most important part of believing in most religions.

Let's take the last part of the statement, "for those who believe no proof is necessary". Where do we draw the line between belief and facts, where do we draw a line between faith and truth. What is it going to take to get religious believers to start doing some research on their religious beliefs, instead of following with only faith. You should question your religion.

If you're going to believe in something like the Bible, you have no right to question someone else's beliefs and their religion. The next time a Christian judges a Muslim or Hindu about their beliefs, start thinking about yours a little more clearly, before you pass judgment on someone else who is living their life based on faith.

Set Goals Without Limits

Everybody on this planet has the ability to dream. But what exactly is a dream? The Websters Dictionary offers sixteen definitions of the word dream, but here we will only list two.

1. A succession of thoughts, images, or emotions passing through the mind during sleep.

2. A vision voluntarily indulged in while awake; daydream; reverie.

Whether we remember them or not we all have dreams while we sleep. But for the most part our dreaming occurs while we are awake. What are your dreams? Do you dream of making more money at your current job or do you dream of owning the company? Do you dream of owning your own home with a white picket fence or do you dream of owning your own ocean front estate on a tropical island with your own private beach? Maybe it's your dream to become president of your country or to become a motivational speaker and help millions of other people to realize their dreams. Whatever your dreams, the only thing stopping you from achieving them are the limits that you set up in your own mind.

This may seem difficult to believe but the only person that can stop you from attaining all that you desire is YOU! All the power and ability you would ever need to make your wildest dreams come true already resides within you. Inside your head is the key to ultimate success. Your mind is a vast source of energy that can never be fully consumed. The problem is that most people never learn how to direct this energy to create the lives they desire.

Dreaming, in and of itself is not enough. You must create a dream big enough to keep your interest, turn it into a goal, and in turn transform that goal into a burning desire. Anything short of that is a waste of your time and effort.

Goal Setting:

1. You must decide what you want and must absolutely have. Remember to make your goal big enough to keep you excited about accomplishing it. Nothing is impossible unless you believe it is!

2. Determine where you are now in relation to reaching your goal.

3. Once you know where you are, you need to determine what steps are necessary to bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. This will act much like a map on your journey to success.

4. Chart all this information down on paper. This step is absolutely necessary. Writing down your goal on paper is the first step to transforming your vision into its physical equivalent.

5. Review your written goal various times throughout the day. As you do this, try to imagine already having achieved your goal. Visualize yourself in possession of that which you want most, or of the person you will be in the future as if it were right now. Perform this step until your goal becomes a burning desire. Once you reach this point, doubt about your ability to succeed will fade away, and the vast source of energy which your mind contains will now back you in your effort to achieve.

Simple Tips For the Law of Attraction

Here I have compiled some simple tips to help you to get started with using the law of attraction in your life. No matter what, the law of attraction is working. However, you can use the law of attraction to work to your benefit if you know how to do this. And when you do, you can begin to experience the life that you have been dreaming of.

Tip Number 1: The law of attraction will only work the way that you want to if you believe in yourself and your own capabilities to attract the life that you want to. If you believe that it will not work for you and that you are not capable of achieving more in your life, then that is the experience you will manifest.

Tip Number 2: The law of attraction will not work unless you take action. There is a whole list of things that you can do to enhance your ability to attract what you want, like visualizations and affirmations. But, without you taking action, you will not receive what you want. The opportunity may present itself, but you have to be willing to take it.

Tip Number 3: The average person will not attract the life that they want. You do not have to fall into this category though. You can be among the ones who do experience what they want out of life. Start by thinking outside of the box. 95 percent of the population will never be financially free. Do not follow the crowd. Otherwise, you will attract the same results as everyone else.

Attract the life that you want. Believe you can and go against the grain and do what really works instead of what everyone else does!

Developing a Positive Attitude by Pretending

Developing a positive attitude creates a positive attitude, just as energy produces more energy. Developing a positive attitude affects your own way of thinking, as well as the thinking of other people that surrounds you. In effect, no matter how bad or rotten a situation may look like, you can make it seem or appear better by at least pretending to have that kind of outlook-even if you yourself do not feel optimistic at all. In this case, even if you are just feigning to have a constructive outlook, the people around you would sense an optimistic energy and would be influenced to the point where they are developing a positive attitude relative to a given situation.

This feigned positive attitude would also have a huge deal of favorable response and influence on anybody that you have to encounter with which can be an answer to your problem as well-even if they're not exactly included in the solution to the problem. If for example, your company is on the edge of bankruptcy, and you really need to visit the bank manager in how to get a loan to rebuild and continue your business despite the financial crisis no matter what. Now, how do you approach him? Of course, you do not want to walk right inside his office with tears welling in your eyes, begging and complaining about how terrible and unforgiving the business is.

Preferably, you would want to walk in with a hopeful smile pasted on your face and telling him optimistic and bright things about the company and your future plans, so he could see that you haven't given up hope on life, and that he could sense that there is a practicable plan in store. The point here is trying to depict or represent a positive attitude that a solution would be found in the offing that you simply refuse to believe the situation is beyond hope, and to let the team understand that you are carrying on and not calling it quits-even if you don't truly believe any of those yourself.

Pretending in possessing a positive attitude is not permitting to telling lies, however. The persons who are involved in trying to help resolve a problem must be told the truth of the situation though. This perception would clean their minds, and help them create good decision in connection to the problem at hand-which helps you also, and makes you believe as if your false positive attitude becomes real as well. In addition, you could fool yourself into possessing a positive attitude also. By feigning that you already have that positive attitude, you play it for so long that little by little, it becomes habitual-a learned stimulus.

This encouraging outlook that you get to portray each and every single day becomes real, even without you being aware of it all. If ever this happens, some people don't even recall or recognize that they were just pretending in the first place! They may begin to think it was for real all along.

Motivation for Sustainable Exercise

If there was one thing I found most difficult to stick to consistently, it was regular exercise. How about you? I talk in my book about the importance of increasing our activity to raise our heart rate, three to four times a week. I also talk about the 'Stickability' factor but one thing I haven't mentioned is working with our biorhythms.

So let's examine what I mean. Have you ever tried to go to a gym or increase your activity after work or later in an evening? How about 6am in the morning? I can almost hear the shouts of 'No Way' from here! Believe it or not the time of day you set aside for extra physical activity has a huge impact on how you manage to stick to it.

We all have an inbuilt mechanism that regulates the flow of energy in our body. At certain hours of the day there is more energy available to us than at other times. This is due to our personal biorhythm. If we are in tune with it and working to its rhythm, whatever we do will flow more easily and be more enjoyable. Work against your biorhythm and you will always struggle.

For me, my optimum time to exercise is 6am. This is when I am full of energy. Undertaking an activity at that time of day seems to set me up for a positive start. I feel more energetic and find that my mind rarely wanders to thinking about food. When there is an opportunity to get more active during the day I find myself feeling more enthusiastic and resist resistant the 'call to get physical'.

But that is my biorhythm. Yours may very well be quite different. So how do you regulate your increased physical activity to your biorhythm?

1. Take note as to what parts of the day you feel most energetic.

2. If you don't feel you have much energy then note what parts of the day you feel most energised after physical activity

3. Find friends who have the same biorhythms and support each others activity motivation

If you haven't thought about it before, give it a go and see your commitment levels improve.

Affirmations 101 - FAQS - What Affirmations Can I Use in a Recession?

So we are in a recession. Technically all the economic measurements are pointing in the direction of the economy shrinking rather than growing. Now what? Do we run away and hide? Do we protest the billions of tax dollars being given to the banking industry? Do we send nasty letters to our stock broker? Do we curse our employer who just handed us our layoff notice? You can do some of these things if you feel it would serve you but I would ask you to do something first.

Decide to keep living.

When I say 'decide' I really mean make the decision that you will keep on living...

Even if you are one of the ones who lost a home, a job, a bunch of money, a business or something else you worked really hard to get. Decide to keep living. So what does living look like?
Well, you wake up every morning and tell The Universe you are glad (and mean it) to be alive. You greet whomever you live with or around and sincerely wish them a great day. You look around you and regardless of what you see you determine you are going to expand and evolve and become better.

Here are some affirmations to get you started.

*I am open to new ways to view money

*I am open to new ways of creating income

*I am open to new ways of investing money

*I am open to having a new relationship with money

*I am open to forgiving myself and others for making money errors

*I am open to moving onwards with my life

*I am open to finding opportunities in every situation

*I am enough. I came to this earth equipped to thrive and flourish.

*My DNA is programmed to thrive and evolve. I give myself permission to grow, flourish and be strong.

*I am open to seeing myself as my source. I have all the power and resources I need to thrive.

*I give myself permission to show me solutions and opportunities to create money and wealth.

*I give myself permission to be my power and my source.

Try these affirmations out for the next 30 days and see how much better you feel and what interesting things start to happen in your life. Don't be surprised if you start to see things you never saw before and come across opportunities that you never knew existed.

I know for some of you this will not be easy. I have been affected by what is happening in the economy too. One source of income has totally blown out the window and my partner and I have had to retool and rework. It's alright. This type of thing had happening before. 10 years ago I received four hours notice that my high paying executive job was to be eliminated. Four hours notice our one income home was to become a no-income home. Oh yeah, our brand new house had its first mortgage payment due that day too. Three days later I found out I would have to take my employer to court to get my severance monies. A day after that my father in law went into hospital with heart issues. He had open heart surgery and had to be resuscitated three times to bring him back. I know what it looks like and feels like when chaos is all around. If your life is in chaos I would encourage you to stand back and simply observe what is happening. After that determine you will rise above the chaos and continue to evolve and thrive.

Go ahead and hide away in a small cave of you want to but sooner or later you will have to come out and do something and feel something else other than frustration, anger, self pity, hate, and madness. Today is the day to start moving forward and see the economic downturn as a situation that, in time, will eventually fade away. Whether part of you shrivels up, fades away and never comes back is really up to you.

Breaking Old Patterns - Re-Programming Your Mind

When learning how to take control of your life, the first step involves stepping away from those things that prevent you from connecting with yourself. What does that mean exactly?

First, let's take into consideration the situation you are in. If you're unhappy with your circumstances, unclear on what you want, or know what you want and are not sure how to get there, this article is for you. In order to change anything about your life that you aren't satisfied with you have to break the old patterns that have gotten you this far. Now there are things about you that you're probably very happy with, but most likely there's a great deal in your life that leaves you feeling unfulfilled.

If you truly want to change anything in your life, you must begin by changing some aspects of yourself. It is important to realize that everything we experience in our daily life is merely an extension of what we believe to be true about our existence. What that means is we only experience those things that we believe we are capable of experiencing. If we are constantly in the mindset that bad things happen all the time, guess what. That's right. Bad things will always happen to prove your belief. Once you can accept the notion that our reality is a reflection of our state of mind, you will soon find that seeing is not believing. In fact, believing is seeing.

Perception is reality. The only way to start seeing different results in our experience of the world around us is to adjust our perception of our experience. The challenge is in changing the energy behind our thoughts. Positive thoughts magnetize positive experiences. Negative thoughts invite negative experiences. Making a big change from negative thinking to positive thinking may seem daunting at first, but if I can do it, anyone can.

1. Think of any positive belief that you have about anything.
Do you think you're a great driver? A great cook? Are you good at reading people? Do you know all there is to know about stamps from the 1950's? Do you firmly believe in God or Heaven? Find something you hold a lot of positive feelings and thoughts about and write those ideas down. This will help prove to yourself that deep down you hold tons of positive thoughts. Ask yourself why you believe these things, and you're likely to come up with tons of evidence to support your positive thoughts. This is important as it is a testament to the notion of evidence as a result of belief.

2. Don't listen to naysayers.
Turn off the TV, ignore the radio, and stop listening to that angry music. When you really believe in yourself, you are often willing to ignore parents, teachers, friends and anyone else who tells you that you can't do something. At least at first. Sometimes you are willing to give up on a goal, talent, or dream because of these outside influences. Remember, they are a part of YOUR experience. You decide what you want to accomplish, and you get to decide who has the power to discourage you. Ultimately, only you have the power to choose to give up. Ignore the odds and, with persistence, you can craft your ideal life.

3. Use Affirmations
Many people say that affirmations do not work. That is because there is an intrinsic belief that is not harmonious with this newly introduced idea. Have fun with them. Attaching an emotion to an affirmation helps to implant it that much faster. Sing your affirmation, turn it into a fun rhyme, make a poster out of it, use it as your screensaver. Think of ways that the media can put messages into your mind and use those techniques to change your programming. Figure out what it took to place the beliefs that you want to change, and use those tactics to implement your new affirmations.

4. Act!
Don't give in to feelings of depression and the lazy inaction that can come with it. Stand up, stretch, jump around, get the blood flowing and say thank you for the 2 or 3 things you can think of that DO make you happy. Chances are once you can name a couple of things you're grateful for, more will pop into you head. Focus on the positive and do something. Write down what you're thinking, listen to some happy music, or do something kind for someone else. That's a quick and easy way to pump serotonin into your brain. Your emotions are heavily influenced by your actions!

By giving in to feelings of negativity you are perpetuating the cycle. Start breaking the cycle by bringing focus on what positive you do have in your life and more is sure to follow. Just remember that action is the quickest way to seeing the results you desire! A journey only begins when you take the first step. Envisioning the steps don't get you there...yet!

Power of Affirmations

What is an affirmation?

Affirmation simply means declaring to oneself that something is already true. Popularized first by napoleon Hill in his famous "Think and Grow Rich', he simply said that it is a repeated instruction to your subconscious mind. The "New Age" writers and NLP practitioners have since popularized this as the "Power of Positive Thinking". I will simply stick to NH's idea that affirmation is simply a belief that what one wants has already happened and to send a directive to the subconscious to record the event. If this is often repeated to be true the subconscious believes this to be true and makes available all resources to manifest the truth which it already believes to be true.

Guidelines for Creating Effective Affirmations

1. Go deeper, reach higher. Visualize what you want is already achieved. Hear the sounds of joy and happiness at your achievement. How do you feel after this achievement? Describe what is happening to you after this visualization.
2. Affirmations are the declaration of a successful culmination of an event for oneself by oneself. Surprise, surprise, it therefore has to start with "I am...." The subconscious then takes it as a command to make it happen.
3. As it has already happened and this is a declaration of the achieved event, it has to be state din the present tense.
4. Affirmations have to be stated in the positive. The subconscious registers in images and not words. Therefore any statement stated in the negative is not understood by it. The unconscious has no images for the word no. So if I said, "I am not smoking" then the image in the subconscious will be that of smoking. Instead if directed " I am free from the habit of smoking" - it can create a picture of your freedom from the habit and act accordingly.
5. Keep it short and simple - so that it becomes a mantra you can repeat anytime and anywhere.
6. Make it SMART: Specific and measurable. I will be rich, is not understood. An additional 1$ is richer by one dollar and that is what the subconscious will provide you. So make it I will make 1 million $ by 31st December 2010 and watch how your plans unfold to make you achieve that.
7. Make it an active verb (add -ing) so that it energizes you to act now.
8. Add emotions to your affirmative statement. You need to be in motion to achieve your goals, so saying it with emotion will keep your motivation at the highest level.
9. You are affirming for yourself and not for others. Your subconscious is interested in delivering to you not to others.
10. Add a bit more - you know it, make it large. Is you want 1 million $ ask for 10 million. Your subconscious does not know the difference, if it will work to deliver 1 million to you, it will also work as hard to deliver 10 million to you.

If I were to make an affirmation today:

I am enjoying being a successful coach and facilitator earning $100,000 per annum by enriching the lives of my clients. Dated the 31st December 2010.

Now that you have an affirmation, how do you go about using it?

Review your affirmation as many times as possible. If you are able to do it in a meditating state - so much the better. Otherwise, just close your eyes, okay you don't like closing your eyes, so keep them open. Forward yourself to the date on the affirmation and repeat the affirmation. Feel all the emotions that you will feel and say it with passion.

Marriage - Five Ways to Keep Your Relationship on the Ball

Entering a committed and long term relationship is not an easy task. After the initial honeymoon phase has worn out, many of us begin to notice the little idiosyncrasies that grow to becoming annoying habits. Whilst we may have turned a blind eye once before to these annoying little habits, as the relationship progress, these habits can grow into explosive problems. For some, such habits can destroy the relationship. Most of us will acknowledge that we also may exhibit such annoying traits or habits, and perfection is something that definitely not attainable. So how do we ensure that our relationship stands the test of time, or in some cases the test of annoying habits? We have provided five simple steps to follow to ensure that your relationship is always on the ball.

1. Words of affirmation: Compliment your partner, and use words of appreciation. Provide your partner with encouragement, and show empathy to show that you can see the world from your partner's perspective. Learn about your partner. Find out what is important to them, what do they value the most. Finding out about your partner provides you with the opportunity to show that you believe in them, that you have faith in them and their abilities. Speak kindly and speak in a manner that represents understanding and kindness. Make requests, not demands as a request introduces the element of choice. Lastly, use indirect compliments, that is, speaking positively about your partner when they are not around.

2. Quality Time: Quality time does not entail existing in the same household. Rather, quality time is about being together, being within close proximity. Share time with one another, engage in an activity together and engage in conversation. This means sharing thoughts, feelings and emotions with one another. Unlike affirmation, the focus is about what is being heard rather than was is being said.

3. Giving and Receiving Gifts: Let your partner know that you are thinking of them. Giving your partner a gift, whether it is small or large, expensive or inexpensive symbolises that you are thinking of them. Whether you decide to make something for your partner, write them a letter, email or simply give them a call, the action shows that you are thinking of them. Letting your partner know that you think of them and love them is an important gift to give, and important to receive. It affirms how you feel towards one another, and strengthens the relationship.

4. Act of service: Ensuring that you help your partner is vital to letting them know that you care. Whether it is vacuuming, or mowing the lawn, these little things indicate partnership and thoughtfulness. Also, it's important to note what your partner is doing for you. Remember to thank them for their help, as this allows them to understand that you have acknowledged the effort that they have made for you.

5. Physical Touch: The touch of love may incorporate various physical actions. A loving touch can entail giving your partner a massage, sexual intercourse or back rub. Touch can also entail resting your hand on your partner's shoulder, a hug or kiss. It's important to discuss what you and your partner desire sexually, and how you both perceive the expression of love making. Simple touches, kisses or cuddles on the couch symbolises love and desire for your partner. Individuals who strive to give their partners a hug or kiss, and who openly discuss their sexual desires often have a stronger connection with their partner. Touching rekindles the old flame, and often helps to re-create the honeymoon phase.

Relationships require hard work and commitment. Couples must be committed to one another, and committed to ensuring that the relationship is important enough to put in the hard yards. Strong relationships also experience difficult times, however if you follow these steps, and build a strong foundation, then chances are you will find yourself in a relationship that will stand the test of time.
